Pallet racking systems are the easiest form of storage equipment infrastructure to install

Pallet racking systems are the easiest form of storage equipment infrastructure to install. Such a system is a unified storage infrastructure that is best suited for a situation where there is a unified storage requirement. What this means is that these racking systems work best for companies and organizations that have a single type of item that they need to store. This is important because the dimensions of the storage racks are fixed and are not easy to change once they have been installed.

The main advantage of pallet rack systems is the fact that they can be installed in a relatively short period of time and are also very sturdy. These systems can be used in a situation where your company has a storage requirement that needs to be satisfied in a very short turnaround time. The other great advantage of pallet racking systems is that they are relatively simple to relocate to another facility if and when needed.

If you can organize products more effectively, you can also distribute them more rapidly. This reduces time to market and increases efficiency across the board in terms of operational process flow. With a wide range of pallet racking system and pallet racking accessories available, it is easy to solve storage problems specific to your business needs.

Install Pallet Racking

Pallet racking systems need to be placed carefully. Remember to maintain sufficient clearances around loads. These include clearances dictated by fire codes (between loads in back to back rows and overhead between top load and ceiling structure), also between adjacent loads horizontally and between loads and pallet racking horizontal and vertical members. Tight clearances decrease handling speed, increase fire risk and the likelihood of damage to pallet racking systems.
Install good lighting in every rack aisle. Good lighting improves handling efficiency, prevents accidents and reduces damage to pallet racking systems. Install optional column protectors at aisle facing columns, and guard rails at ends of pallet rack rows. These devices provide a physical and visual barrier against handling equipment impacts. Material Flow has a large selection of these devices.
Do not cut, weld or in any other way modify any component of your Cascade storage pallet racking. These modifications can jeopardize the structural integrity of your pallet racking structure. Any modification except performed or authorized in writing by Material Flow personnel will make null and void any warranties and guarantees.
Use only high quality warehouse racking. Broken, cracked, or poor quality pallets can cause falls from racks, or cause dynamic racks to become jammed or inoperable.
Perform regularly scheduled inspections and maintenance at least once a year.
