What Is Pallet Racking?
Pallets racking is definitely a required element and factor in terms of modern warehousing facilities. And obviously, it's not just limited to that. It is also required in most of the manufacturing facilities nowadays. Apart from that, some high-scale retail centers also require this for the storing of goods and the like. And obviously, of course; the pallets racking system is also a must in other distribution facilities and storage facilities.
One very integral and significant part of practically any pallet racks system is the forklift truck. In more ways than one, they are usually required to lift and stack the loaded pallets on the racks before going straight into storage. Pallet racking is so important in everyday life as far as modern industrialization is concerned that it's virtually everywhere. Perhaps it's even safe to say that pallet racks are as ubiquitous as mushrooms.

A mezzanine floor pallet racking is a great avenue through which you can expand space for your business without permanently raising operation costs. The international trend is for businesses to maximize the output they get from resources while reducing costs through all possible means. Employees are taking on multiple roles, companies are also venturing into multiple fields along with many other measures aimed at ensuring there is no wastage of resources. The idea of having mezzanine floor pallets racking is actually inspired by storied buildings though these ones are built internally. The idea is to make use of the open space especially in buildings with high ceilings such as warehouses.

Mobile shelving Pallet Racking
Pallet Racking Bay – this term is used to refer to 2 upright frames with beams between them. A starter bay consists of 2 upright frames and beams and an add-on bay in the same row consists of one upright frame plus beams.
Pallet Racking Row – consists of a series of interconnected frames and beams.
Pallet Racking Row Spacer – the steel member used to tie uprights together back to back. This forms a double row. There can be triple and quadruple rows when using double reach tracks. Common row spacer lengths are 200mm and 300mm.
Pallet Racking Upright Frame – also known as an upright or a frame. The vertical members are made up of two columns with diagonal and horizontal bracing bolted or welded between them.
Pallet Racking Beam – the horizontal member which attaches to the upright frame columns. Adjustment is on a 50mm centers.
Pallet Racking Footplates – steel plates bolted or welded to the bottom of the columns. Footplates depends load conditions and the seismic zone.
Pallet Racking Bracing Panels – this term is used to describe two horizontal braces and the diagonal between them within a frame. They are bolted or welded to the inside of the two frame columns.

How to choose pallet racking
Pallets racking is a material handling storage aid system designed to store materials on pallets. Although there are many varieties of pallet racking, all types allow for the storage of palletized materials in horizontal rows with multiple levels.
Drive-in and Drive-through (sometimes spelled Drive-thru) are storage rack configurations that allow the forklift to drive directly into the lane of stacked rows (called a bay). The difference between a drive-in and a drive-thru pallet rack system is simply whether the bays have an entry at only one end, or at both ends. Drive-in pallet rack systems use a common entry and exit, while drive-thru systems have entry points at either end of the bay. Because a drive-in racking system has only one entrance, it uses what is called a LIFO (last in, first out) storage method. With only one entrance, the last pallet put into a row is necessarily the first one to be taken out. A drive-thru storage system, with two different entry points, can also use a FIFO (first in, first out) storage method. With a FIFO system, pallets are loaded in one end and are pushed back to the other end, where they are then at the front of the row on the opposite side. The first pallet put into such a row is the first one taken out at the other end. This system is advantageous for material with an expiration date or wherever shelf life is a major concern.

Structure of pallet racks
Some embodiments of the pallets racking are relatively easy to assemble and disassemble. The pallets racking may also be modular to facilitate expansion of the pallet mole to support additional plants. An adjustable pallets racking system has a column with a plurality of teardrop shaped slots and a beam having a connecting bracket that connects the beam to the column. An adjustable pallets racking system has a column with a plurality of teardrop shaped slots and a beam having a connecting bracket that connects the beam to the column.
A safety system for a pallet racking having a plurality of upright posts supporting horizontally disposed load beams comprising: at least two extension means for extending the effective vertical extent of a post. Pallet racking systems have for a number of years provided a primary storage support structure in large warehousing storage and distribution facilities. In highly efficient modernized warehousing operations, forklifts or other vehicles are commonly employed to load and remove loaded pallets from pallet racks.

Info of Storage Racks
The Pallet Mole is placed in the appropriate channel and the operator activates the Pallet Mole by pressing the Remote. While the operator drives away to deliver pallets, the Pallet Mole works independently. The operator is now able to keep the efficiency to a maximum and increase turnover. The Pallet Mole system is designed to raise standards in floor space utilisation and operator productivity. The system combines the density of drive in racking with the benefits of flow racking and automation. Unlike other storage system layouts, which require multiple access aisles, the Pallet Mole system only requires aisles for pallet entry and retrieval, making them space efficient.
The very first thing to take note of is what you are planning to store on the pallet racking is know your load. The very next thing to learn is about the space you have to put your pallet racking. Basically, you want to maximize your use of the space, in order to get the most pallet rack in your warehouse. To ensure that your pallet rack system is appropriate for the product stored on the pallet racking is critical. Needed information includes: firstly, Load capacities of the fork lift or pallet trucks. Secondly, Turning radius is required for the equipment. Thirdly, Maximum extended height of the lifting equipment.

Pallet racking systems are the easiest form of storage equipment infrastructure to install
Pallet racking systems are the easiest form of storage equipment infrastructure to install. Such a system is a unified storage infrastructure that is best suited for a situation where there is a unified storage requirement. What this means is that these racking systems work best for companies and organizations that have a single type of item that they need to store. This is important because the dimensions of the storage racks are fixed and are not easy to change once they have been installed.
The main advantage of pallet rack systems is the fact that they can be installed in a relatively short period of time and are also very sturdy. These systems can be used in a situation where your company has a storage requirement that needs to be satisfied in a very short turnaround time. The other great advantage of pallet racking systems is that they are relatively simple to relocate to another facility if and when needed.
If you can organize products more effectively, you can also distribute them more rapidly. This reduces time to market and increases efficiency across the board in terms of operational process flow. With a wide range of pallet racking system and pallet racking accessories available, it is easy to solve storage problems specific to your business needs.
